Excuse me, but I'm not familiar with the grammar word, relative clauses ??? .

What does it exactly mean?

How can it be helpful for writing? :)

Dear Miku,

Relative clauses are used to give extra information about something without starting another sentence. They are one kind of complex sentence (as opposed to short simple sentences). When writing at university most kinds of writing require complex sentences, so learning about how to form and punctuate relative clauses  can be very useful for QM students.

BTW  They are also called "adjectival clauses" and there is a definition under that title in the Grammar Glossary, if you want more examples.   :)

Yes! That would be really helpful.

Could you give me some specific examples about those, please?

Thank you very much.

Dear Miku,

I was saying that there are more examples in the Grammar Glossary under the entry "adjectival clauses" and of course in the Learning Object called "Relative CLauses". I think there should be enough for you there.

Good luck!
 :)
